Parent teacher communication

It is our belief that the partnership between families and school is crucial to students achievement. For this partnership to be effective parents and class teachers need to communicate sensitively and respectfully on a regular basis.
Should parents require any information, or have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at school, either by visiting or telephoning. We strongly recommend that parents make contact with their child’s teacher if they have any questions or concerns about matters relating to their child. Parents are encouraged to get to know their child’s teacher, and if possible, try to take an active part in school activities. By taking an interest in what your child is doing at school you will help them to develop to their fullest potential.
At the end of Term 1 and Term 3 an interview between parent and teacher takes place to discuss student goals, strengths and further areas for improvement.
Our fortnightly newsletter is available on the school website which helps keep parents informed of events and happenings at school. Parents who have an email address are encouraged to provide this to the school to receive notification that the newsletter is available on the website, alternatively register to receive the newsletter as soon as it is published by following this link.
For those who do not have access to a computer a hardcopy is available at the office. Parents are encouraged to read this informative newsletter, as it is an important means of communication between school and home.
