During Term 2, the Year 5/6 students participated in the
Premier’s Coding Challenge. This challenged required students to design a
digital technologies project to raise awareness of Bullying. We decided
that the most effect digital medium would be an App. Our first obstacle to
overcome was to learn the coding software of AppLab.
This was very different to any other coding software used by
these students and they found this quite challenging. They also had to
undergo a design process wherein they designed an interactive interface
providing practical tips for victims of bullying.
Jude was selected as a finalist in this state wide challenge
and will be attending the Queensland Finals at Kelvin Grove State College in
Brisbane.
A huge congratulations to Jude who took was the runner up!!!
