Cooran State School is proud to offer a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program for our senior primary students in Years 4, 5 and 6. This initiative supports contemporary learning and reflects our commitment to preparing students for a digital future. With the implementation of the Australian Curriculum and access to the QLearn platform, students can easily access, collaborate on, and submit their work online, creating a more efficient and organised learning environment while reducing the risk of lost assignments.
At Cooran State School, our teachers incorporate a balanced approach to teaching and learning, blending traditional methods such as handwriting and paper-based tasks with engaging digital tools and educational software. Clear expectations for device use are established across all subject areas to ensure technology enhances learning outcomes. To maintain consistency and maximise the benefits of the program, students are expected to bring their device to school each day.
To ensure reliable connectivity to the school’s Wi-Fi, printers, and learning platforms, we strongly recommend that all devices are protected with a durable case. Adhering to the school’s recommended device specifications will help ensure compatibility and smooth operation. Devices that do not meet these guidelines may experience limitations that could impact your child’s learning experience.
Cooran State School is proud to provide students with the opportunity to develop the digital skills, responsibility, and confidence they need for success in today’s world.
